On behalf of Powerful Young Adults Inc., I would like to take this opportunity to request your sponsorship for the 4th Annual Clearwater Legend’s Ball. This is an invitation to you and your company to assist our youth program and help the children in the North Greenwood Community. This community is the most economically challenged area in Clearwater, due to the lack of education. We are making the difference in the achievement gaps. The Clearwater Legend’s Ball is a fundraiser that recognizes outstanding achievements of leaders within the minority community, who are making a difference in our society.
Powerful Young Adults Incorporated, will be hosting The Clearwater Legend’s Ball, a Fundraising
Event, on Saturday, October 24, 2009, at 5:30 p.m. honoring: Mr. Randolph Lightfoot, Mrs. Michelle Patty, Mrs. Sandra Rooks, Mr. Talmage Rutledge, Mrs. Daisy Bronson and Rev. William Sherman at the Dr. William Hale Center in Dunedin, Florida, to benefit the children of Powerful Young Adults Incorporated.
Since the inception of Powerful Young Adults Incorporated, 501 (c) 3 organization, our program services department provides youth training and development on a weekly basis in the areas of: job skills, social skills, counseling, training, social ethics and moral principles to the youth in our community. We provide educational assistance by offering free certified teachers and materials to keep our clients motivated to learn. We also provide training and awareness in the areas such as: safety, prevention, Black on Black Crime, employment, computers, social behavior and etiquette. The youth are taken on periodic field trips and community service events to enhance their creativity and social skills. At this time, we have thirteen P.Y.A students enrolled in attending various Florida colleges. This year all of our high school seniors graduated with a 3.0 grade point average or higher. Parents can be assured that their children are in a safe, supporting and cultural environment.
With your help, we can continue our extraordinary efforts to serve and equip our youth to achieve greater heights of success. Our services are free and are extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis. The goal of The Legend’s Ball is appropriately themed: “Leaders of Merit and Distinction”. With this in mind, Powerful Young Adults Inc guarantees that no child will be left behind. Every child who enters the door will be able to enroll in our program regardless of their socio-economic level. This fundraising event is designed to give families a hand up, not a hand out. This allows us to continue to provide nutritional meals, educational and social services to all students enrolled.
